Details About Their Fight SceneĬW: But there was little stuff, like during the fight scene, she (Lisa Raye) didn’t know that when I came and put my finger in her face, she had no idea that that’s how it would go. I admired Ice Cube so much, that I didn’t get caught up with it. I was just focused on killing it for the fact that Ice Cube took a chance on me, went to bat for me. So I couldn’t even get caught up in whatever she was going thru. I’ll work myself to pure exhaustion before someone can say, well damn I’m disappointed. I was more concerned about doing a great job, and I’ve just the type of person that when people give me an opportunity, the last thing I want to do is let them down. ILOSM: Do you think Lisa Raye was intimidated by you back then?ĬW: You know, looking back I can probably say that, but being young I couldn’t really see that. A lot of things happened that didn’t need to happen. When we both got casted and got the part, things were a little different because of her being the star, it was just challenges. I just really would go to bat for her, and thought that we would be great friends. And what’s funny is that before we both knew for sure that we got that part, she and I totally got along. I LOVE OLD SCHOOL MUSIC: What was it working with Lisa Raye?Ĭhrystale Wilson: We were both young, and we were both stallions out the gate. I Love Old School Music spoke exclusively to Chrystale Wilson, best known for her role of “Ronnie” on the classic film, “The Player’s Club” about her work on the film and the truth behind the fight scene with Lisa Raye’s character, “Diamond.” Little did we know, but that fight scene was very intense, and so was the tension between the two of them. I'm not so sure he followed the setlist.Chrystale Wilson and Lisa Raye as “Ronnie” and “Diamond” in “The Player’s Club” film If someone can help me, I'd appreciate it. I love him! At the end of the show he gave me his guitar pick! These are the videos in order of the shows, I didnt name the songs yet. Mick T tapped into our energy and he was really, really good, fabulous, super-talented, sweet, wonderful, and sexy as hell. The shows were fabulous, Mick T was getting alot of cheering and clapping and although normally he just stands there and never gets too flashy, he started to get into it more as the energy in the room was contagious. I asked him if he has a girlfriend, he said: No, I dont at this point, but I'm really shy, I started laughing, I'm not, anyway after the 2nd show there was a big line to meet Mick T and I had to go because it was time to catch the last bus back to NJ. He said: Yeah, me too!" This proves he really did quit because he was mad about something, it wasnt about the drugs, I always knew that was bullshit. He was actually impressed, he said: You were there? I said yeah, and I was mad when you quit the Stones but I'm over it now. Mick T is awesome, I told him I loved him since I saw him at MSG in 1972. I was flirting with him, he hugged me, and he felt so good compared to Ronnie Wood, who I hugged recently and he was way too skinny. He is a complete doll, sweet as sugar, kind, cute and shy. I went to both shows, got to meet Mick T between shows. Here's some exciting videos and pics of Mick T The Iridium Jazz Club in NYC last night, May 12, 2012.
